I have found that living with and suffering from the pain that goes along with having a traumatic brain injury can be incredibly frustrating. I have often been left feeling isolated, lonely, and hopeless. It is my hope that by sharing my experiences, both good and bad, that I might be able to help others that are on their own journey of healing.
Whether you are healing from a TBI or care about someone who has suffered the effects from one, the most important thing to remember is that you are not alone! It is so easy to forget when the pain seems unbearable, but please know that you can get through this. I am living proof. I know that this is true because I have been able to keep going, sometimes it is a minute by minute journey, but that is why I know that you can too!
My hope is that by sharing some of the resources that I have found over these past years of my recovery, which might help you narrow down the endless supply of information that is available into something a bit more manageable. I am not a medical professional nor do I claim to be one. I simply want to help educate others and lend a helping hand to people, like myself, whose lives were changed in an instant.
