Find Community

TBI Support Group Brain Image
So often those with chronic pain or illness suffer in silence.  It can feel isolating, almost to the point of being debilitating if you let it.  But I can personally attest to what the power of “Finding Community” can do for your soul.

When I began to surround myself with others facing similar challenges I began to feel like I wasn’t alone.  It wasn’t that my family and friends weren’t supportive.  But there is something different about connecting with others that understand what it is like to have similar health experiences.

It is NOT about sitting around and commiserating over doctor appointments.  Some of my favorite moments have been spending time with others playing Frisbee golf, doing art projects, hiking, or playing trivia.  No matter the experience, it is sharing the common bond that has helped me find some much needed solace.

I hope you will check out some of the groups I have used over the years.  Some of these groups are specific to Colorado while others will be available nationally. While COVID has been devastating for so many reasons, it has also opened the doors to so many opportunities for those seeking community by using Zoom.  So take a peak and Find Your Community today!
